An Extraordinary Opportunity

As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in all facets of our practice. Here’s what some of your responsibilities will look like: Prepare Compilation, Audit and Review Engagements, including completion of all working papers, adjusting journal entries and financial statements.Keep up to date on the content and practical applications of accounting and assurance standards and know how to access and research professional and technical materials.Identify engagement issues and recommend solutions. Identify process improvements for future assignments and share this knowledge and experience with other team members, including less experienced staff.Complete Personal and Corporate Tax Returns, Trust Returns, and T4 and T5 tax slips.Effective communication with our clients, with government agencies and with our partners and staff.Assisting and supervising junior staff. Working cooperatively and effectively with other staff members.Some bookkeeping work may be required.

You’ll have these qualifications: 3 years of public practice experience. Proficiency in MS Office, CaseWare, Case View, and Profile Public accounting experience including Compilation, Audit and Review Engagements and the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns. A commitment to quality client service and quality of work. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills & client service skills. Strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
